What You Need to Know about HCSD's 4K Program
The Hayward Primary School 4K Program provides the basis for your child's success by offering an engaging learning environment that will make his/her first school experience exciting and fun. We offer an enriched curriculum that provides school readiness skills and school expectations. We know that our children learn best through play and provide age-appropriate activities in cognitive and pre-math skills, social-emotional, adaptive, literacy & language, and motor development.
Our 4K Program is a 1/2 day program Monday - Thursday during the school year. The program is designed for all children who live in the school district who will be four (4) years old by September 1, 2022. Four-year-old children who have been accepted for open enrollment will also be eligible to participate.
4K Round Up is a screening process for acceptance into the HCSD 4K Program. You will sign-up for a screening time during registration. A parent/guardian must attend the 4K Round Up with the student.
